NOVEL TOPICAL, REGIONAL & TRANSDERMAL DOSAGE FORMS USING NANOTECHNOLOGY: A REVIEW

Purpose: To summarize main findings of topical or transdermal preparation delivered in the skin eye region using novel nano-technology. Method: Narrative review all relevant papers from peer reviewed and high impact journals. Results: The delivery system pharmaceutical preparations for eyes are now elevated to aerosolized gels, foams, sprays other forms that nano-pharmaceutical dynamics such as Ag nanoparticles,impregnated urethanes, liposomes, nanoemulsions,polymers nanopolymers. And these trends provide elevation benefits limitations conventional systems enhanced spread permeation, better bioavailability, prolonged efficacy, reduced toxicity superior stability.
